Minor
Glossary
Minor can refer to the minor third, the minor triad (or related chords), or minor keys.
In terms of scales, there are several subtly different minor scales related to the minor key: the natural minor, a mode of the diatonic scale; the melodic minor mode of the acoustic scale (really melodic minor ascending, as the melodic minor descending scale is enharmonic with the natural minor); and the harmonic minor mode of the harmonic minor scale.
Several other modes have a minor third and perfect fifth, and are also minor scales: the Dorian and Phrygian modes of the diatonic scale, and related modes of the acoustic scale.
