Symmetry
Glossary
Set Theory
A set class is symmetric if the involution of the set class is equal to itself (up to transposition).
Clock diagrams make it easy to see which set classes are symmetric, and each set class page (for example the diatonic scale) says whether the set class is symmetric, or else links to a set class related by involution.
